Mix It Up Fabric Collage

Mix It Up - A mixed media fiber collage

In this workshop I will show you how I frame my photos with a unique techique.   Using various fibers, we will create layers of fibers and create a fun fringe embellishment for the bottom of our piece.  Once you learn this technique, you will be able to incorporate it into many projects, including wearable art.  Use of a sewing machine is recommended but could be done by hand.

In this workshop you will learn how I create my bird forms and bird legs, apply Paper Clay, create texture, mount the bird, paint the bird and add embellishments.  Once you see how I create these birds, I believe your imagination will soar with all the possibilities of other creatures waiting to be created.

Creating Faces $50.00 - this workshop is strongly suggested as a prerequisite to my FAIRY GIRL Workshop.  In this workshop, you will learn how to make molds, create a paper-clay face, paint and glaze your face..  I also share how I paint my little roses.  I offer you resources to supplies.  I can't promise that you will be able to find all supplies internationally.  I suggest substitute product that you might easily find.  Students have also helped in sharing supply resources.  I do my best to help you find it.

Create your ONE of A Kind Art Doll Necklace, or Wall Hanging.  Learn how to turn something very basic into something that looks like china or porcelain.

In this workshop I solder around the necklace making connections to add various elements to it.  In the last video I share what you could do if you choose not to solder, how to make connections, etc.  I have also added photos on the site to show you alternate ways of making connections.

(please note:  This workshop is for those who have a fundamental knowledge in soldering.  It is not a workshop where my focus is on "to teach" soldering, but how you make the china flowers and connections.  Hope that makes sense.  If you have any questions, please email me.
