In my first class, I’ll show you how to create this beautiful “BFF’s” Silver Coated Necklace.
If you have never soldered before, don’t fear. Let me show you how simple it can be, with just a soft touch of a soldering iron. No perfection needed. I will show you how to solder, one layer at a time, to make it look like you are a pro. You will receive one charm, silver coated, foil taped; backed in metal, with a pretty photo, ready to solder. I will then show you how to attach a delicate ball chain to adorn your neck and also a tiny little fabric collage. You will also receive all the charm materials, and instruction, on how to do another one from scratch. Bonus – A video after class, via the Internet, up close and personal, exactly how to recreate this piece, with added extra adornment tips at no extra charge. This video will be up for you for six months following the workshop. How fun is that!?!
In my other class we’ll learn to make this Winter in Paris wall hanging.
Delicate lace, soft pinks, gray and sparkle, all remind me of spending a dreamy winter in Paris. In this workshop we will take a pretty vintage photo and mount her behind a 4″ x 6″ beveled glass. We will create the bevel to look like mercury glass or an old worn mirror, along with some hand painted roses. With a simple way to solder, we will lay our solder down creating texture. Two hand-hammered, pre-made wire wings, hooks and a hanger will be attached, along with some delicate silver ball chain. From the chain we will create a delicious assemblage of fibers and lace, and any embellishments you bring along with you. Your finished piece will measure approximately 18” long with a wingspan of 8” wide.
