Let the 12 days of Christmas begin and giveaway

Tomorrow begins the 12 DAYS of Christmas ornament swap I have now participated in for four years.  What a thrill, I must say.  It is so hard to receive all these darling wrapped gifts in the mail and NOT open them, but I have been good.

I feel blessed to be among these wonderful eleven artists who create from their hearts and soul.  My day is #10. 

GIVEAWAY

On December 10th I will select a winner for an ornament similar to the one I exchanged in this swap.  Tell me your favorate Christmas moment and you will be added in the drawing.  I love Christmas story moments, don't you?

Here is a little tiny sneak preview of what I have created.

Tomorrow begins Day 1.  I can't wait.  Sometimes in the years past I even stayed up until after midnight so that I could open them.  It is just such a joy.  And the joy continues year after year as I take my ornaments from these gals and place them on my tree.   This year I found a white Christmas tree for my dinning room table, placing some of the ornaments on it.  But some also go on the BIG Little tree in our living room.

Last year, in the midst of posting my ornaments day by day, we lost power and ended up in a hotel room.  I am so glad and happy that this won't happen now that we are in the middle of this amazing Arizona desert.  So many good things are happening here. 

Life is GOOD because GOD is GOOD all the time!!!

Loving Paper Clay

I am loving this little one.  I created my own mold and used paper clay on a vintage doll. Paper clay is so nice to work with.  I plan to do more projects with it.

A very Happy Thanksgiving all Americans. We have so much to be thankful for.

All is well around here.  Ron is not in pain, that is a good thing.  He is moving along.

I've been so busy.  I had a gal come in from California for a private class.  That was a lot of fun.  She wants to come back on Wednesday.  I really like teaching this way, one on one. 

I know I owe lots of emails.  One day soon, I promise to at least try and catch up.  I still so appreciate you all leaving your comments here.  I always take them to heart.  Just trying to find my normal new routine.  I had a lot of fun creating these dolls.  Not sure I'll be doing any more until after Christmas.  I have some other projects I want to work on.  I'll be back soon.

Enjoying Civilization in Arizona

Ron and I finally ventured a little away from our new home today discovering the most quaint little town of Glendale.  I met Angie Platton years ago here online through blogging and today I actually was blessed to meet her in person.  She works at this fun store, The Creative Quest.

Angie encouraged me to bring along some of my art to show the owner, which I did.  I am now booked in January to teach my first class there.  I am just thrilled.  I met so many wonderful ladies today. 

 

The longer we are here in Arizona, the more I know that this is exactly where I'm to be.  God is blessing my life in such a way that I sometimes feel I need to pinch myself.  So many miracles have happened too.

 

Okay, I HATE my picture taken because I NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT...but...well...here I am with Angie today. 

 

I want to share a few pictures of the shop.  I was loving all the beautiful papers and wish that piece of furniture belonged to me.  Isn't it cool!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After visiting with Angie, we drove around this little Historical section of Glendale.  All the shops are in these wonderful vintage houses.  Since Ron was with me, I quickly parked in front of one store, and ran in.  I was thrilled to the moon to find a shop right up my alley.  The sales gal asked me about my necklace and then said I should bring in my creations to show the owner.  I feel this shop would be a perfect fit for my stuff.  We shall see.

 

 

 

 

Loving it.  They actually have another house down the street called The  Cottage Garden I.  I will have to go back and check that out.

 

 

 

 

 

I will leave you with a few shots from inside the store.  I can't wait to go back and really explore (without Ron :) who I love dearly, but you know how it is.  My husband of 20 years as of yesterday.  Love him still and glad I said YES!!!  I do believe he is too :)

Little Miss Grace Art Doll

 

I created this little tattered angel doll offered in my Etsy Shop.  I have a few more dolls in the works.  I have also been working on my 12 days of Christmas Ornament swap I participate in every year, to be revealed on December 10th.

Call me crazy, but I ended up moving my studio to a new location.  I needed more light and a little more room. 

Everything is going well around here.  Just trying to get back into a routine.
