I'm leaving for Seattle tomorrow to visit my sweet niece, Lindsay, pictured to the right, along side of my other niece, Julia. Lindsay is stationed in Washington and is in the Army. She leaves for Iraq in a couple of weeks and I just have to see her before she leaves. My heart and mind can't really even go there emotionally yet, trying to be strong and hope for the best. Lindsay is now an MP, Military Police Officer. She will be working with the Iraqi police department. Growing up she always said she wanted to be an artist????? Lindsay turns 21 years old on the 26th. Seems just like yesterday the birthday picture above was taken. Can't wait to see you Lindz.
Also, an added treat, we are going to meet up with Stacie Rife for lunch. I can't wait to meet this sweet pea. I adore her art. Stacie was my first contact in this big/little world of mix media almost two years ago. She was such an encouragement to me as I ventured out creating what was brand new to me. Can't wait to give her a big hug.
